Location Services for Android

In order to capture Clock In and Clock Out locations and to send time and distance information with the On My Way Text from Mobile Work Orders, a worker's cell phone needs to have the Location service enabled for the browser being used when working with BizScheduler. The following are the general steps to accomplish this, but may have slight differences, depending on your device model.

Location services are turned on during the setup of your Android device, but you can also turn them on later for BizScheduler's use by doing this:

  1. Go to Settings > Security (or it could be Biometrics and security, depending on your device)
  2. Under the Privacy section, make sure that Location is On
  3. Tap App permissions and then tap Location permissions
  4. Scroll down to find the browser app that you use with BizScheduler and turn the Location permission ON
If a worker does not want to have Location services enabled in general for their browser they might consider dedicating one browser app for BizScheduler use only. For example, they might use Firefox for their regular browsing, with Location disabled, and use Chrome as their browser for BizScheduler, with Location enabled.
