Location Services for iPhone
Location Services for iPhone
In order to capture Clock In and Clock Out locations and to send time and distance information with the On My Way Text from Mobile Work Orders, a worker's cell phone needs to have the Location Services enabled for the browser being used when working with BizScheduler. The following are the general steps to accomplish this, but may have slight differences, depending on your iPhone model.
How to turn Location Services on or off for BizScheduler's use
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
- Make sure that Location Services is on.
- Scroll down and tap on the browser app that you use to access BizScheduler
- Select the option that you want to use with your browser and therefore with BizScheduler:
- Never: Prevents access to Location Services information.
- Ask Next Time Or When I Share: This allows you to choose Always While Using App, Allow Once, or Don't Allow.
- While Using the App: Allows access to Location Services only when the app or one of its features is visible on screen. If an app is set to While Using the App, you might see your status bar turn blue with a message that an app is actively using your location.
- Always: Allows access to your location even when the app is in the background.
- If you want BizScheduler to accurately capture Make sure that the Precise Location feature is turned on.
If a worker does not want to have Location Services enabled in general for their browser they might consider dedicating one browser app for BizScheduler use only. For example, they might use Safari for their regular browsing, with Location Services disabled, and use Chrome as their browser for BizScheduler, with Location Services enabled.
