Protection from double-booking workers for new jobs
In BizScheduler, as soon as you click on a worker to schedule a job for him, the system "protects" the remaining open time that day for him until the next job he is scheduled for or the end of the day, whichever is first. This "protection" is on until you save your new job.
Once the job is saved, the schedule is updated and the new open area in his schedule is displayed and available. It is a first-come-first-served approach. The user who clicks on a time-slot "protected" for that worker will be informed that a job is in process and the name of the user who is doing it. This way you can easily communicate with co-workers about the duration of the job they are creating.
Because of this, it is important that you set the "Ends At" value for the length of time for a job before you first save the job. This way you will lock down that time period for the job that you are creating.
