The Tax Agency defined in BizScheduler does not exist in QuickBooks Online
Here is what you should do if you get the following error when doing an Export to QuickBooks Online:
The Tax Agency (agency name) defined in BizScheduler does not exist in QuickBooks Online. Add it to QuickBooks Online or change the QBDefaultTaxAgency configuration option in BizScheduler to match an existing Tax Agency in QuickBooks Online.
First, find the Tax Agency name in QuickBooks Online:
- Log into QuickBooks Online and select Taxes from the menu on the left.
- Select Sales tax settings from the upper right of your QuickBooks Online screen
- Copy or write down the name of the Agency that you want BizScheduler to use
- Note: if the name is too long to display, hover your mouse over it to see the entire name
- If you need a Tax Agency that is not in the list, then you will need to Add a new one
Now make sure that BizScheduler has the exact same Agency name entered into the QBDefaultTaxAgency setting:
- In BizScheduler, click on the Configuration Options link under the Setup / Configuration section of the Hub
- Click on QBDefaultTaxAgency and enter the Agency name you found in QuickBooks Online identically (it is best to do a copy and paste from QuickBooks)
- Click the [Save & Return] button to save your change
Now you can Export to QuickBooks Online again.
