QuickBooks Desktop Export Launches Another Program
QuickBooks Desktop Export Launches Another Program
When you open your downloaded .bizQB2 file on a PC for the QuickBooks Desktop export, you may find that another program is trying to open it. You may have inadvertently told Windows that it should always open files with the file extension of .bizQB2 with a program other than BizQB.exe.
BizQB is the program that is installed when you execute the Download QuickBooks Interface from BizScheduler. Often the program that Windows defaults to is your browser, but it could be any number of programs that accidentally were associated with the .bizQB2 file type.
To correct this problem, you need to open Windows Explorer (sometimes referred to as File Explorer) and then go to the folder that you downloaded the exported BizScheduler file to (usually the Downloads folder of This PC). The file will look something like this: 4-28-20219-10-20PM.bizQB2.
Using your mouse:
- Right click on the .bizQB2 file and
- Select Open With.
- Click Choose another app and
- Select BizQB from the list of applications. (If it is not in the list, locate it on your computer. By default it is installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Integrity Data Systems\bizQBclientSetup folder of your computer.)
- Be sure to click the checkbox that says to Always use this app to open .bizqb2 files and then click OK to run BizQB and set it as the default application to use when opening .bizQB2 files in the future.
