QuickBooks Desktop Error: Software out of date
When you export your invoices or other data to the Desktop version of QuickBooks, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- You must do the Export from the computer that has QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Enterprise, etc.) running on it
- QuickBooks must be running and the company file you are exporting into must be currently open
- And the BizScheduler Client Software must be installed
If you have an older version of the Client Software installed on the computer, then you will get the following message: Software out of date
The instructions on the screen say, "You must uninstall bizQBclientSetup from the Control Panel, then in BizScheduler run Download QuickBooks Interface (typically in Admin > Administration)."
To uninstall your bizQBClient on a PC:
To uninstall on a PC, do the following (the exact steps may be slightly different depending on your version of Windows):
- Click your Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen
- Type Control Panel in the search box and press the [Enter] key
- Click the link for Programs (or Programs and Features)
- Click on the bizQBclientSetup program and click Uninstall
- Answer 'Yes' or 'OK' to all of the prompts and close the Control Panel when the uninstall is completed
Back in BizScheduler:
- Go to the Integrations section of the Hub to download the current copy of bizQBclientSetup
- Click on the Download QuickBooks Interface link (for QuickBooks versions before 2021) or the Download QuickBooks Interface (64 bit) link (for versions from 2022 and after)
- Click on bizQBclientSetup after it downloads to your computer to run it and use the default settings, answering 'Yes' to all of the prompts
- Close it when installation is complete
The updated software will now let you perform your Export to QuickBooks Desktop once again.
