Match All verses Match Any in Custom Search
For several groups of data in custom search, like customer categories and referral sources, you can select a checkbox called "Match All" that will make the search return only those customers where ALL of the items checked must be true for the records to be included in the search results (obviously any other criteria that you have selected must also be true). Without the "Match All" checkbox selected, the search meaning is "Match Any" of the items selected, so if any of the records match one or more of your checked items, they will be included in the results.
For example: say you have referral sources called "Yellow Page Ad" and "Direct Mail October". If you select both of these sources without the "Match All" checked, you'd see all customers who had either referral source selected in their customer record. If you then checked the "Match All" selection, you'd only see the customers with both of these referral sources.
