Change Misc Info Structure
BizScheduler gives you the power to create your own custom data fields to track information about your customers. This enables you to better serve your customers, sell your services, and manage your business. You may want to know square footage, number of rooms, or serial number of equipment. Perhaps you need to know roof pitch, contract date, or sales territory. You can create this structure, and modify it, to best meet your needs...now or as things change in the future.
There are two types of Misc Info Fields: Customer Misc Info fields and Job Misc Info fields.
When working with Customer Misc Info fields, you should think of information that is not actually associated with the work that you would be doing. For example, a Gate Code would typically be a Customer Misc Info field, since its change would not be tied to a job in any way.
For things that are typically tied to jobs, you will want to create Job Misc Info fields. For example, you might need a Temperature field and a Humidity field if you are doing a service that is impacted directly by those conditions so you can track the quality of your results.
You can also determine if you want to have these fields displayed on
Work Orders,
Mobile Work Orders, and the
Daily or
Weekly views of the Job Calendar. You can set whether a field is editable from
Mobile Work Orders as well as the color that is used in the Job Calendar display if there is data in the field.
To add new fields or make changes to the Misc Info structure of your BizScheduler database, follow these steps:
Go to the Setup / Configuration section of the Hub and click either the Customer Misc Info link or the Job Misc Info link
- Follow the directions on the screen to update, delete or add a new Misc Info field
- You can also change the order that the fields are displayed in
