Area Access and Restriction

Area Access for a Worker

In BizScheduler you can restrict which Workers have access to specific Areas (aka Calendars). On the Worker Information screen, all of your active Areas in your BizScheduler are listed. They are repeated three times, with On Calendar, On Crew, and Access

A worker will only have Access (the ability to see an Area and perform any activities for that Area) for those Areas that you check and enable for their Worker record. This applies to the Job Calendar, Customers, Message Log entries, Tasks, and everything else that can be associated with an Area. By default, when you create a new worker record, no access is given. You must intentionally specify any Areas that you want to extend permission for your Workers to Access, as well as being displayed as a column on the calendar or as a member of a Crew.

Area Access for ALL Workers

You can also go to the specific Area and set all of your Workers in one place. Go to the Hub and click the Areas link under the Setup / Configuration section. Select the Area that you want to work with, or create a new Area, and you will see your Workers repeated three times so that you can set everyone's permissions for this area to: Show workers on calendarCan be on a crew, and Accessible By. This makes it very easy to see the permissions and settings for your Areas in one place.
